When will games begin?
Under Executive Order 20-103 youth sports can begin competing on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Legacy teams will have confirmed game schedules by the end of this week.
Has the season length been adjusted?
The MSHSL has published an updated calendar for all high school activities and expects the regular season for winter activities to conclude by March 22, 2021. The NSPSL is also adjusting both the middle school boys and middle school girls basketball seasons to make up for the pause in the last month of play. We expect the middle school boys basketball season to extend to February 15th while the girls season is planned for February - March.
Will spectators be allowed?
Spectators will NOT be allowed at practices, but there has been no updated guidance received on spectators for competitions.
What options exist to watch contests if spectators are not allowed?
Legacy has purchased and installed a live streaming service that will allow subscribers to watch all middle school and high school contests. Each game will be streamed on our page on the NFHS network site.
https://www.nfhsnetwork.com. It is important to note that schools across the state will have different options and some may not have the ability to stream games at all. When available, streaming links will be shared in each team's weekly communication from coaching staff and on the online calendar.

What is the mandatory mask requirement?
Under Executive Order 20-103
face coverings must be worn by all persons at all times, including practices and games, with only a few exceptions. This guidance is based on information published the
American Academy of Pediatrics. The mask/face covering must be black, white, gray or school colors and may only have a manufacturer's logo on it if it does not exceed four square inches.
What if my child has a medical exemption?
The LCA Athletic Department understands there are medical conditions that make wearing a face covering difficult. Under new guidance provided by the MSHSL on Tuesday, January 5, 2021,
Mask/Face Covering Guidance, Legacy will be able to honor the medical exemptions on file with our health office for all student-athletes as long as it meets the requirements of this updated guidance.
Can we be refunded our sports fee if we opt out of the winter sports season?
Given the circumstances, Legacy is amending the refund policy to allow for pro-rated refunds for middle school boys basketball players if withdrawal notice is received in writing by 5:00pm on Thursday, December 31st. High school basketball families and middle school girls basketball families withdrawing from the winter season will receive a full refund if notice is received by the deadline. Athletes participating in co-op programs will need to contact their host school for refund policies.
